Every fixture in this category is rated for the job. IP65 is the minimum for livestock and washdown areas, and our IP67 and IP69-rated fixtures stand up to direct, high-pressure hot-water cleaning. NEMA 4X housings resist the corrosion and chemical exposure common to barns, milking parlors, and feed-prep zones, while NSF-rated components meet hygiene standards for food and animal contact.
Light quality matters too. High CRI (80 to 95+) lets you spot illness or injury in livestock, catch contamination, and work safely. Proper lighting can even boost output: a 16 to 18 hour photoperiod has been shown to raise dairy milk yield 8 to 10%, and light timing directly affects poultry egg production and growth.
